Romsey Clear Ears Covid-19 Policy
(1st January 2022)

During the Covid-19 pandemic, it is essential to reduce the risk of transmission of the virus and therefore procedures have been introduced in May 2020 at Romsey Clear Ears following the Department of Health England and BSA guidelines to safeguard the health of patients and members of staff. It is essential to monitor our health constantly and take appropriate action to reduce the spread of the virus

Any patient who is self-isolating or has the main symptoms of Covid -19 (a high temperature, a new continuous cough or/and loss or change in sense of smell or taste) must not attend the clinic.

Appropriate Health and safety notices will be on display for patient information and awareness.

Patients are kindly asked to be on time for their appointment and wait in their car until the practitioner comes to fetch them. Patients may wear a face mask if they choose when attending the clinic and can request the clinician to wear one also during their appointment. The mask will be a surgical type 11R. Appropriate PPE will be worn if a risk assessment deems it necessary. Patients who may have any concerns are advised to call the clinic to discuss the measures in place before their appointment.

Patients will have the opportunity to sanitize/wash their hands on entering and leaving the building.

The clinic treatment room will undergo a thorough clean of all equipment and work surfaces between each patient. The clinical ear care practitioner will wash their hands thoroughly between each appointment.
